  • Highams Park poetry trail

    As part of the Highams Park Festival of Culture there will be a poetry trail around Highams Park that will culminate in a performance of the poetry at the Highams Park Live July event. If you’re interested in the poetry trail the theme will be Connections, please interpret as inspired! Expressions of interest to take part in the poetry trail by June 11th please, details will be discussed at the next writers sharing evening on June 11th. Please drop us a line if you're interested in coming along to the writers evening too.

    The next Highams Park Live performance event dates for 2015 are on the events page. Songwriters, poets, storytellers… please contact us if you'd like to take part. Performers are booked in advance so please drop a line to info@highamsparklive.co.uk  if you'd like to perform. The event is free and if you want to simply be part of the audience then please come along on the night and be inspired by the creative atmosphere! 

    We will also be hosting writers sharing evenings every month through 2015 starting in March! These evenings are an opportunity for writers to share their work informally with other writers. These will be special literature evenings and not live performance evenings with an audience. The aim is for writers to come together to share their work, read extracts, discuss, and give thoughtful feedback on the work of others.   • Writers sharing evening

    In addition to the Highams Park Live performance events we are also hosting informal 'sharing evenings' specifically for writers. The first of these will be on Thursday 13th November 6pm - 8.30pm (upstairs at The County Arms). The evening is intended as an opportunity for writers to share their work informally with other writers. These will be special literature evenings and not live performance evenings with an audience. The aim is for writers to come together to share their work, read extracts, discuss, and give thoughtful feedback on the work of others.
